As an exhibitor at the 2026 Cheese and Dairy Products Show, she shares her vision, innovations and growth prospects driven by global demand for Mediterranean products.
What Greek specialities do you offer and what makes them unique?
We are a family business based in Larissa, in the heart of Greece, where the excellent microclimate favours the production of high-quality milk. Our family's speciality is our PDO Feta cheese, handmade from fresh sheep's milk sourced exclusively from local farms. Aged in brine for 2 to 4 months, our feta develops a creamy, slightly crumbly texture and a balanced, mild, pleasantly salty and subtly tangy flavour, enhanced by the aromatic nuances of local herbs that grow in the hills and fields throughout the year. We remain faithful to PDO standards while ensuring the strictest food safety standards, with an ongoing commitment to quality and sustainability.

How do you showcase heritage and tradition in your cheeses?
For us, feta is more than just a product: Feta Lytras from Lytras Dairy embodies cultural heritage and ancestral cheese-making expertise, passed down through three generations. We continue to apply traditional methods with passion, while ensuring that our production remains responsible and sustainable. We support local farmers who raise their flocks with respect for animal welfare and contribute to the economy of local communities.
What new products or innovations would you like to present at the Cheese and Dairy Products Show in 2026?
We make a traditional product, but we listen to the needs of our customers and the market and respond quickly to new trends. We offer convenient formats, such as feta cubes in brine in different sizes and individual portions, designed to meet the needs of consumers and professionals. These formats make feta more accessible for everyday use, while preserving tradition and quality.
How are you responding to the growing demand for Mediterranean products in Europe?
Mediterranean cuisine is recognised worldwide, and feta is one of its most iconic ambassadors. Since 1990, we have been exporting to Europe, adapting our packaging and formats to different markets. Feta is an important part of the Greek diet and has a special place on the table in all dishes. In Greece, we eat feta in our main course and not after lunch. We have developed our own recipes for using feta in a variety of dishes, both savoury and sweet, highlighting both the nutritional and sustainable qualities of feta, which is rich in protein and calcium and perfectly suited to a healthy and authentic lifestyle.
What are your expectations for your participation in the 2026 Cheese and Dairy Products Show?
Our main objective is to highlight the authenticity and artisanal quality of our PDO Feta. The Cheese and Dairy Products Show is a unique opportunity for us to strengthen our presence in France and Europe, consolidate our partnerships and develop new ones, and showcase our commitment: a sustainable family business with over 30 years of experience in export. Meet all the exhibitors at the Salon du Fromage et des Produits Laitiers from 7 to 9 June 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
