Queso Marqués de Mendiola is a family business created with the aim of managing the production from our agricultural and livestock farm, based in Ciempozuelos, Madrid, in the heart of the South-East Regional Park.
For over 20 years Gestión Genetica y Ganadera GANATEC, S.L. has specialized in sheep milk production, working with the genetic improvement of the Assaf breed, with the aim of producing the best possible raw material for the production of artisan cheese through Quesos Marqués de Mendiola trademark. We have a herd of approximately 1.000 ewes.
We control the entire production process, in order to obtain the highest.quality milk. From birth, all our animals undergo strict sanitary and genealogical controls, together with a completely natural diet.
The quality and properties of our sheep’s milk, with very low bacteriology and the highest sanitary qualification ofour herd according to EU regulations, alow us to create a high-quality, raw milk artisan cheese.
